Three months ago my boss started acting weird. No eye contact. Short replies. Meetings without me. I thought I was getting fired. So I did something insane. I created a fake email, new CV… and applied for my own job. I got shortlisted. Sat in that interview… answering questions about replacing myself. They told me: “We need someone more proactive.” I smiled. Then went back to my real email… and resigned first.
