Only few twist were predicatble but that is not an issue. Its an emotional drama and i feel that people eill get the trnsion just with dialogue expecially for family audience Jeethus dialogue were superb 👌 Dialogue elevation 🔥

In technical sideProblem is with cinematography and makeout of lady characters,lalettan makeup is pakka,color grading of one scene in evening is shytt Jeethu has done well,character arc and their emotion are well shown. George kutty is the bst character in indian industry

ANALYSIS : What Happened to #PATRIOT ? Why it has failed to satisfy the Majority ? Let's deeply analyse what's gone wrong with Mollywood's Big Budgeted, Much awaited Movie #Patriot from becoming a Commercial Blockbuster : 🔻The Weak script & dialogues : This is the primary reason. Every movie, whether it is made for Pure Commercial entertainment or for non-commercial story telling, the movie must have an emotionally connecting script & dialogues. Otherwise the audience will feel alienated from the movie, they won't engage with the story, hence will started to getting bored. What happened with #Patriot is it's script was too flat. Actually the plot was good ( importance of privacy & cyber security ). But the writer/director #MaheshNarayanan has failed to convert that plot into an engaging script. The story & each incidents happened on that script was fully predictable. It does not mean that makers should always create movies with unpredictable story lines. But if you are using a predictable story line, then each single scenes should emotionally connect with the audient. Something should be there to keep them engaged into the screen. If it works, then predictability won't be an issue. Otherwise audiences will get bored watching a predictable story line without any emotionally elevating scenes. 🔻The BIG M's Factor : This is a crucial factor. This movie was announced & promoted as the Reunion of 2 Legendary actors of Mollywood ( Mammootty & Mohanlal ). So majority of audiences expect to watch a movie with forever memorable on screen combination scenes of these 2 legends. But what was delivered in the movie was a scene of " Senior Actors discussing about their weaknesses & sickness ". Its okay, its part of the story, they are not real actors in the story, they are only characters, but there was not a single scene where they both delivered an emotionally uplifting sequence. At least if there was some good emotionally hooking combination scenes, it is sure that many audiences will come to theatre only to watch that scenes. 🔻The Cast List : It made the financial burden so large for the movie. Actually after watching the movie, even audiences felt that actually was it necessary to cast such highly paid star actors to do this roles. Big example was Nayanthara. What was her importance in the story ? May be in the script, she has importance, but when it came out as a movie, she has actually nothing to contribute. Just imagine, if that character was done by any unpopular supporting actress, no change is going to happen to the output from an audience's perspective. Same felt for many other actors too. So this huge star cast caused into a higher budget for the movie. Otherwise, If patriot was made under 75 Crores, it would have been completely successful even with current business & theatre collections. 🔻The L Factor : Actually the first question arises about " Was the Mohanlal " necessary to do this role ? Okay. That's completely the creator's choice & the actor's personal decision. But what i felt as an audient after watching the movie was Lalettan's character was poorly written. Then the opposite question arises that Mohanlal fans or audiences only want to see him doing commercial action roles with typical mundu, meesa scenes. Otherwise audiences will reject. No that's completely wrong. Lalettan as being the Legendary actor of Mollywood deserves a better emotionally connecting character. The best example is his cameo in Summer in Bethlehem movie. He hasn't done an action scene on that movie. Still audiences will always carry that character in their hearts forever. That's a well written character. That was missing in #Patriot. The biggest example was Lalettan's death scene. It can be captured in a different way. Literally audiences was laughing inside the theaters on that scene. Every build up created for him upto that scene has spoiled on that single scene, where he was lying down on the lift half in half out, where the door hits his back Contniously and his body shakes, repetition of the same shot multiple times. To be honest entire crowd was laughing. It killed the emotional connection with Lalettan's character. Just imagine if that scene was taken like " he lying fully inside the lift near the dead bodies of goondas giving an epic close up shot with his iconic eyes. Then the entire scene will be different, audiences will celebrate that scene. That's how a commercially talented director executes that scene. 🔻Fahad's Villian character & Its end : The movie will feels more engaging when there is a powerful villian character. Fahad is undoubtedly one of the extremely talented actor of Mollywood. But on this movie, he wasn't fitting. His loud acting and dialogue delivery was sometimes too torturing to watch. Also his character's end, still i can't believe a good script writer like #Mahesh has written a character like that. Normally at the climax, the main antagonist character will comes face to face with the main protagonist characters. Then they fight and one wins. But first time seeing a villian character is beeing killed by some random group of peoples which suddenly came from nowhere, that too killed on a different manner ( using fire sticks ). Literally the audiences felt what was happening here, who are they, why they chasing him, then what was Kubo's & Mammukka's role in this story ?? Maybe creator's freedom. But it negatively affected the audiences viewing experience. 🔻Overall the movie felt like a decent one time watchable movie. Not a pure disaster. They have mentioned multiple times that this is a content oriented movie. But it should also be made on an emotionally hooking script. Otherwise it won't become a groundbreaking huge Blockbuster or Industry Hit. If #Patriot was made as a normal movie with less than 75 Crores budget, it wouldn't have become a risk. But to recover such a huge budget, they have to satisfy the majority audience's taste. The all-time highest grossing movies Lokah, Thudarum, Manjummel Boys, Vaazha 2 everything was made as relatable and enjoyable to a larger crowd. So if planning to recover huge budget through theatrical revenue, including commercial elements into the movie is a necessary thing. Otherwise making experiment movies on a record high budget will majority times burns the hands of financial investors ( producers ). This analysis is not to personally attack or completely undervalue #MaheshNarayanan & his talent as a film maker, he has already proven that he is a Good Director, Script writer, Editor & Cinematographer through his previous movies.He is a National award winning technician. So not disrespecting him & his talent. But this particular movie felt like this, i think for majority of Mollywood audiences too, otherwise it would have been running with full houses even now. Now it's theatrical run is almost over, that's why posting this analysis now. What was shared in this post is completely my person opinion & experience after watching #Patriot. It need not be same for everyone. I'm not claiming any factor mentioned above is absolute truth. So what's your opinion about #Patriot ??
