The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah chaired a one-day meeting of the Working Committee of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference’s Kashmir Province at Nawa-e-Subah. The meeting was attended by Party Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Senior Functionaries, and members of the Working Committee, and special invitees. During the meeting, extensive deliberations were held on the prevailing political and administrative situation in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, the issues and challenges confronting the people, party affairs, organizational matters, and the future course of action. Participants raised public grievances from their respective constituencies, with particular emphasis on economic distress, unemployment, and deficiencies in basic civic amenities. Discussions also covered ongoing party activities across various regions, public outreach programmes, and the challenges being faced by party workers on the ground.

Deputy Chief Minister, @Surinderch55, today conducted an extensive tour of Zainapora Constituency in Shopian district to assess the progress of ongoing developmental projects across Chitragam, Zainapora, and adjoining areas.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, chaired a one-day Working Committee meeting of District Srinagar at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha. The meeting was organized by District President Srinagar, Pir Afaq Ahmad. It was attended by Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar; Additional General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan; Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani; party legislators Mubarak Gul, Ali Muhammad Dar, Tanvir Sadiq, Ahsan Pardesi, Shameema Firdous, Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, and Salman Ali Sagar; Provincial President Kashmir Showkat Ahmad Mir; Women’s Wing Provincial President Er. Sabiya Qadri; Minority Wing Organiser JS Azad; Provincial Secretary Syed Tawqeer; Trade Union Convenor Ghulam Muhammad Hamdard; along with District Srinagar block presidents and office bearers. The meeting featured in-depth discussions on pressing public issues and key organizational matters. Various challenges facing the party were deliberated upon, along with possible strategies and solutions to address them.

Hon’ble MLA Rajpora Gh Mohiuddin Mir Sb,today attended the inauguration match of the Sher-e-Murran Cricket Tournament at Deeri Murran as the Chief Guest. The event marked the formal commencement of the tournament attracting participation from local teams and sports enthusiasts.

Honourable MLA Rajpora Gh Mohiuddin Mir laid the foundation stone for the construction of 6 double-storey buildings at HS Mitrigam on May 2, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the infrastructure and facilities at the school, benefiting students and the community . @JKNC_

During the Pulwama review meeting chaired by Honourable Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary, following the directions of District President JKNC Pulwama Mohammad Khalil Bandh, the VC DDC Pulwama Mukhtar Bandh forcefully highlighted key public welfare issues, urging the reopening of NH-444 from Bunoora to Gudoora and the early completion of the Dogripora and Reshipora bridges for the benefit of the people of Pulwama.

This recent series of attacks including in Himachal Pradesh and now this one are unacceptable and must stop. It can’t be claimed that J&K is an inalienable part of India while people from Kashmir, in other parts of the country, live in fear for their lives. My Government will step in where ever necessary & will do whatever is needed to ensure these incidents are not repeated. I hope Home Ministry, Govt of India will also sensitise other states on the same lines.
