“We didn’t realize until we reached out that Kane was still in high school,” Wan admits.

You'd be surprised how lazy some trainers are nowadays or the other equally big problem the company is too cheap to pay for training

I liked everything about the story but they failed utterly to explain the monsters motivation.
Why was it eating people?
Is it a spirit or a physical creature?
Is it originally from the Backrooms dimension or did it enter the dimension through a door?
The ending SUCKED!
