Lady Constable Pani Manju Joram of Arunachal Pradesh Police has brought laurels to the state and the nation by clinching the bronze medal at the IFMA Senior World Championships 2025 held in Antalya, Turkey. Representing India in the Senior Female Mai Muay category, Joram showcased remarkable grit and skill on the global stage. Prior to this, she had secured a silver medal at the Asian Muaythai Championship held in Taiwan, further establishing her reputation as a formidable martial artist. Apart from her competitive achievements, Joram has also completed the prestigious International Coach Course (ICC) and received the One Standard Muaythai (OSM) certificate from the International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA). The certificate bears the signature of IFMA General Secretary Stephen Fox. Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the young constable for her dedication and performance. “Her commitment and excellence on the international stage are truly inspiring and a matter of immense pride for all of us. I wish her continued success in her martial arts journey,” he said. Attended the felicitation Ceremony of Police Personnel by Arunachal Pradesh Police, I had the honor of recognizing the dedication of our officers. Their relentless efforts in maintaining law and order, especially in the War Against Drugs, are truly commendable. Under Operation Dawn, launched on 8th November 2023, we have: ✔ Registered 354 cases ✔ Arrested 534 persons ✔ Seized 9,557 kg of drugs worth ₹38 crores Since 2019, our war against drugs has resulted in: ✅ 1,452 cases registered ✅ 2,619 arrests ✅ 18,600 kg of psychotropic substances seized ✅ Drug seizures worth ₹75 crores ✅ Destruction of 56,654.69 acres of opium poppy ✅ Eradication of 1,723.271 acres of cannabis This fight will continue with full force! The Women Police Station (WPS) Itanagar was awarded the Gold Medal by the Hon'ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik ji (Retd.), in recognition of their outstanding efforts in rescuing minor victims from illegal trafficking. Under the POCSO Act and Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, WPS Itanagar successfully rescued several trafficked minor girls from Assam and Itanagar township in 2024-2025, leading to the arrest of 39 accused individuals. This exemplary display of bravery and dedication has strengthened public trust in law enforcement, especially among children and the general public, reinforcing the commitment to safeguarding child rights and ensuring a safer society.
