There are always going to variables that affect populations like droughts, plagues, wars, disease, etc. It’s not that these have no impact, it’s that given a long enough sample size you’ll see differences in these groups and it’s largely genetic.

IQ isn’t perfect but it’s throughly proven to be the most effective indicator of multiple types of success that we have.
