Since the 2019 Rugby World Cup, only New Zealand and France have managed to score 40 or more points against Ireland.
🇳🇿 New Zealand: 46-14 (2019 Rugby World Cup quarter-final)
🇳🇿 New Zealand 42–19 Ireland (Eden Park, 2022)
🇫🇷 France: 42-27 (2022 Six Nations)
🇳🇿 New Zealand: 40-21 (2026 Nations Championship at Eden Park
Ireland’s defence has consistently been
the best in the world, making 40-point performances incredibly rare. So whenever a team reaches that mark, it’s a reminder of just how special an attacking display it was.
Mike Blair is cooking.

World’s top five international players 2026 so far:
1. Louis Bielle-Biarrey (FRA)
2. Jordie Barrett (NZL)
3. Cam Roigard (NZL)
4. Antoine Dupont (FRA)
5. Will Jordan (NZL)
Why my South African friends are so hyped about the All blacks v Italy game ? This is how your golden generation with the best coach in history (how you like to think ) fared against them 👀

@derekalberts1 Then they compare Damien De Allende to Jordie Barrett and I know that they are clueless - the one goes forward and the other shovels the ball sideways
This England team is poorly coached. There’s no other way to put it.
They have so much talent, yet there’s no clear idea of how to use it. They spent most of the game looking like a side without a proper game plan. The kicking strategy was baffling, and they ended up gifting an understrength South African team the win.
I genuinely don’t know how Steve Borthwick still has a job. If this is what England are bringing into the World Cup, even with the very favourable draw, they’re not going very far.
Poor !

@Its0nlyMe6@JeanNoelBlanc1@ChalynRugby Maybe you should let in a few more emigrants, have a team like France in the football World Cup with lineage dating back as far as three weeks. Through some fucking money at it, otherwise you are eternally fucked…
@bensmithrugby And this was no England B Team. To think that these fellas ran you of the park... like the French B Team today. Wait until you see what these brilliant foreign masterminds have up there sleeves... in RGR tour. First... focus on the Fortress record. You time will come. 🫵
Springboks looked very comfortable over England. Borthwick’s men never in it. They continue their 2026 fall after finishing 5th in the 6N. The foreign masterminds behind the Boks are on a roll now.
World champions doing what world champions do. A comfortable win over England at Ellis Park.
Under strength Springboks were in complete control from start to finish, exposing a clueless England side that never looked like they had the answers. 👏

@JDWrugby@bensmithrugby Never seen a first test of the year from the All Blacks? Never seen a first test from a new coaching group? Well you have actually, Rassie lost his first test against Wales 😂 Lots of Saffer wishful thinking on Twatter, thin on analysis.
Just four Canes starters for the All Blacks but Roigard and Love opened up France a lot, while Jordie Barrett had two try assists. Eight from Bordeaux in that French XV! Yes Jalibert was good. Not good enough though.
Super Rugby Pacific is currently dog-walking European rugby in the Nations Championship opening round. Experimental ABs side beat Bordeaux-stacked French side, Aussie up over Leinster-heavy Ireland currently. Not looking good!
@bensmithrugby C'est inquiétant pour la NZ alors si la France ne perd que de 2 points avec un Roigard au top, une équipe quasi au complet et à domicile, face à une équipe B de France et un lucu "vétéran"
Roigard outplayed veteran Lucu no question. Draft dodging Dupont and his two passport stamps won’t take this matchup outside Europe. At some point more Top 14 medals mean very little. The best in this game want to play the best. Roigard is a real challenger to Dupont.
