911 was called because someone knew the car belonged to an employee.
The call, was likely to investigate if the car was being actively stolen.
The Officer was investigating sure, but not making it clear what she was investigating.
That alone, does not permit you to obstruct.
You can be part of an investigation and not be informed.
Asking for ID, is part of identifying the people involved in an event the call was about.
Refusing, is in fact obstruction.
This isn’t rocket science people. The officer wasn’t in the wrong. It’s that the guy was just ignorant of police work.
Even if the customer called him to arrange picking up the vehicle, this is separate from the 911 call.
It may very well all get sorted on scene but she can arrest him for obstruction.
Even if the case is heard, then dismissed; it doesn’t mean the LEO involved in the case should be fired for doing her job.
Seriously, some of y’all need to get a grip and learn how things work in this country. Both on a local and state level.
