@ItsBurts 1st place Worlds: Team Magma Mega Audino Neither had seen any competitive play, but had very favourable metagame matchups. Honourable mentions also go to Zoroak/Gallade, an unconventional build that took many top cut positions. The winning deck notably that year ran Town Map!

What other examples of there of proper wild cards making regional or higher top cuts? 👀

@Fortemon312 Zoro gx was weak to fighting though wasn't it?👀

@ItsBurts Back in the Day of Zoro and decks like Malamar being popular, people (me included) ran this with Vikavolt Rayquaza GX decks, because with a choice band and weakness could deal with Zoro GX, and it was a one prizer that Vika could set up fast, got me a solid top 8 with it

@ItsBurts EUIC 2022 was interesting with whimsicott. There was also a weird Arceus deck that did good. I remember because it was the first major tournament I watched!

@ItsBurts I believe it came up against combinations of Emerald Slash and Megalo Cannon (either with a Choice Band on the Virizion or with a previous 20 from a bench snipe). Also heals your 170hp pokemon with 150 damage out of a Megalo Cannon snipe.

@P_RoyTK @omni_joe Aww so is was an N and hex on same turn jobby. Gotcha!

@ItsBurts Stockton It was in vespiquen (discard it with parallel after using it + hex) I got detonated by @omni_joe in top 8 though
