I believe in civic duty, and yes, I’d back national service if we had it. I’m tough on crime and its causes, and I support real deterrence and early interventions. I want the NHS protected, not turned into a nanny state. 4/

Thrift, hard work, and pulling your weight in your own community matter to me. I believe in a just transition from fossil fuels that actually replaces every lost job with a real new one. I support the armed forces & our relationship with the USA. 3/

I've always supported Scottish independence. Always will. That does not make me a hard-left Marxist who thinks Scotland should pay for the rest of the world to live here for free. I’m an economic socialist & a social conservative. 2/

@ScotExpress A chilling prospect. The SNP needs to be tempered, & perhaps the Lib Dems might step in to cut a deal, saving us all from the worst of the SNP's incompetence. Of course, if unionist voters get their acts together, the electoral arithmetic might drastically change.
