@hueylewisfan84 @KaliGothYuga Nietzsche didn’t celebrate the death of God, he mourned it. From Zarathustra: “God is dead! God remains dead! And we have killed him! How can we console ourselves, the murderers of all murderers!”
English

Dude, please, hit legs. Squats. Deadlift. Anything.

Nietzsche’s work can be (and has been) interpreted in a number of different ways. To me, however, Nietzsche presents a worldview glorifying life in a profoundly joyful manner. He challenges us to live our lives for us, to be free, and that’s why I read him.

Why do a lot of anarchists like Nietzsche so much?
English

@Das_Mystikal @EcoTechBro Bros making me come out of retirement just to dunk on him. Nietzsches entire project was to try and find a solution to nihilism. Literally from the preface of the Genealogy of Morals

@AvgLibSoc I imagine they still hurt migratory animals that use moonlight to orient themselves tho

Street lighting that causes very minimal light pollution exists already, especially when warmer color lights are used. Parts of Hawaii, for example, use certain street lights so their astronomy centers aren’t affected.

Abolishing street lighting means that we will once again be able to use the stars to orient ourselves

@AvgLibSoc @ShinjiTheCuban Precious metals is pretty much all that is profitable from them from what I understand
English

@ItsCoatiSeason @ShinjiTheCuban Wouldnt it be nearly impossible to get profitable amounts of anything except precious metals back down without them burning up in the atmosphere?
English

@AvgLibSoc @ShinjiTheCuban This is far outside my expertise but it’s not a super crazy idea. Getting to an asteroid is pretty easy, the hard part would be collecting all those resources and bringing them back. You could potentially put one in orbit to make things easier, but that still is very hard
English

@ShinjiTheCuban Hey @ItsCoatiSeason this isn’t feasible, right?

@Elafagalus Assuming earth as the center, in most places this isn’t true, but there is a radius where it happens, and since the rate of expansion is increasing this radius is getting smaller and smaller, and may eventually shrink to zero
English

@Elafagalus As an astrophysicist I must clarify, this isn’t quite true. (As far as we can tell) the speed of recession is proportional to the distance between objects, so there is a point where the recession velocity exceeds light speed but this isn’t true everywhere
English

@AvgLibSoc If he’s asking for a person @AdeemTheArtist is much more talented both musically and lyrically and is a country artist
English

Socialism??? Also Pat the Bunny shits on this guy. Get actually good lyrics instead of talking about fudge rounds and being anti-welfare.

What’s the left’s answer to this?
English

@AvgLibSoc @Kulesh0vEffect Anyway listen to Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan instead they’re insanely talented
English

@AvgLibSoc @Kulesh0vEffect I’m a big fan of folky country music so when I first saw him I’m like oh he seems to be that vibe! Turns out he sucks :/
