@meme_blend The most braindead opinion I've read about 3d apps in a while. Blender is great and nothing beats price of free but we don't even have script geonode yet. Shit is poverty compared to Houdini. The scripting in fact makes proc stuff way easier. Hope they add it to blender finally.

@El_Omar2203 Do you people not realize that these are sequels and that riases the bar on them waaaaay up. They are great but they are also very similar to the first games. Also E33 looks fucking amazing, have you even seem the environments and characters? It's not just pure realism, it's art.

@BettyWanJiang I know it's just your style but I really wish you'd leave him a bit skinnier and rougher looking overall. Feels like you're taking away a lot of the struggle and personality from the character.

@XaGueuzav Yep, it sucks. Honestly it killed most of my motivation to draw. Like why bother when AI can spit out about 1000 images in the same time you draw smth and often better than you too (at least in regards to shading). Really wish AI dev went NOT in this direction, but here we are :(

@nesskain I haven't used Zbrush in a while, but pretty sure you can use transpose master plugin to pose your sculpt and then go back and forth between pose and no pose for further sculpting. You can do your pose details in another layer to make sure they don't interact with symmetry.

Hmm my next Zbrush practice?? XD Though I'm not really sure how to approach it without symmetry, need to check some tutorial.

Also artifacts, like the bells with no clapper and rings not intersecting. There are definitely reasons to be suspicious.

You can’t copyright something you didn’t create. It took him hundreds of prompt attempts to get the image he wanted.. and yet his lawyer claimed he had a “very clear image of what he wanted”. If it was so clear why didn’t he create it himself? Oh wait, he can’t actually create, because he’s not an artist. All it takes to be an artist is to actually pick up a pencil. @OTGZaya @sfroshi Yep, AI is really good at generic stuff, not great at specific characters/settings. But it's not too hard to steer it with painting to get a good result (img2img AI is freakishly good at artistic rendering). The question is really about what do people want and how specific it is.

@sfroshi think at the point having a project to work on would benefit the most versus sole commissions. Think of Ai art as Great value or store-brand food. Its good for convenience and price but that name brand will always taste better

Honestly, I really do think AI technology being used to create art is super interesting and cool. But ngl as a rookie digital artist, it's kinda demoralizing.. For context, see #NovelAI

@ItsEromangaka @DangerPickle007 @TeethVeil Yes it seems ML in general (not only in art) is really good at distinguish noise vs signal. It might sound as coping but even before it I was never a fan a of heavily rendered stuff, imho it's so explicit it doesn't give space to subjectivity, I'd rather see grit, strokes, etc

@firez_art @DangerPickle007 @TeethVeil Funnily enough it can do strokes very well, as well as all the abstract stuff. But position/characters/pose are very vague. Prompts are pretty much a suggestion. (examples: abstract painters Wassily Kandinsky and Robert Delaunay in prompt. Honestly this stuff is insane.)

@firez_art @DangerPickle007 @TeethVeil AI generalizes, so it's good, stunning stupendously good in fact, at generic rendering. Getting something special or specific is pretty much luck... (But goddamn I'm jealous how well it can render stuff in a matter of seconds)

@DangerPickle007 @TeethVeil The pics can be good enough heck even admirable but they still reek of mass production and become tiresome. Don’t get me wrong I agree we should not become complacent. I feel things like story, interesting shapes and compositions can be a hedge against AI

@firez_art @TeethVeil The pain of "finding a way" is so inherently devastatingly depressive. You know you want smth, but you don't quite know what and how and the only way is to find it is essentially draw, practice and hope to stumble upon it bit by bit. And it's not about drawing well either

@TeethVeil I was implying that his argument applies to AI art too. I believe art is inherently problem solving and genuine interest for the subject. You need to like or develop a liking for that in order to make good art otherwise things like clip art or ai art might be more fitting.
