They have been abducted by Israel and are being kept under unlawful detention. Being in international waters to deliver aid to Gaza is not a crime. Israel continues to be allowed to act with imputing and face no consequences for illegal actions and violations of international law. UN member states must act now The reported torture of a civilian activists, combined with the unlawful transfer of detainees from European waters, marks a dangerous escalation with far-reaching legal and moral consequences. Failure to act now risks not only the safety and lives of Saif Abukeshek and Thiago Ávila, but further erodes the credibility of international law in the face of ongoing atrocities in Gaza. All the UN member states must take immediate action to ensure the safety of all flotilla participants and the release of Thiago and Saif. Release them now!!!!!! I flew with @KenyaAirways last week, and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE ever. 1. The plane was parked a gate away from where passengers were called to board. A gate away. So why use that gate then? Heaven alone knows. And get this - we had to walk on the skybridge, outside the airport building, down the flight of stairs into the tarmac and make our trek to the aeroplane to board the plane… OUTSIDE THE AIRPORT BUILDING, AND it was raining. Yes, raining! So all the passengers had to WALK IN THE RAIN to board the plane. And we then had to wait outside for the passengers ahead of us to board. So, the rest of us WAITED IN THE RAIN. We eventually boarded, drenched! Absolutely crazy. 2. The staff at the boarding gate were chewing gum, talking amongst themselves, and treating passengers as if they were doing us a favour. Gum. Loud laughing. Rolling eyes and demanding clients. Kuningi nje. 3. My bag was badly damaged — really badly. While the bag is expensive (no need to get into the cost or the brand), they say I should have the bag delivered to them so they can take it to “their assessor” to decide whether to replace or repair it. By the way, the bag is so badly damaged that it can't be fixed. I fly… A lot. I have already boarded over 40 flights this year. Last year, I travelled to over 20 countries. I live in airports & airlines. I regularly have unpleasant experiences on commercial flights. I am not a sissy. I don’t complain. You take the good with the bad. But I can tell you this for free: this KQ experience was horrendous. It would have been more pleasant to pour Tabasco sauce into my naked eye & then blindly stir into a lunar eclipse. Anyway, back to your regular scheduled program. VT
