Good psychotherapy progresses from an intention to feel better, to a capacity to live more authentically no matter how that feels.* *There are some psychotherapy clients who aren't ready to hear the second part and legit need to focus on the first part....for now.

OCD and anxiety looooove to twist the Truth. They can make Scripture feel like warnings instead of wisdom. This doesn’t reflect your heart or your faith. OCD’s symptoms are not your sin, and they’re not the Holy Spirit. God’s voice still sounds like steady peace.

“Do you feel the world is broken? We do. Do you feel the shadows deepen? We do. But do you know that all the dark won't stop the light from getting through? We do. Do you wish that you could see it all made new? We do.”

👏 AI can be a great tool (even as a potential bridging tool to licensed therapists) but the risks of using it alone in place of therapy are too dangerous. What people need is government-funded, accessible, timely mental health care so that they’re not tempted to turn to AI.

@grimgrinningmom Therapist here 🩷 Some therapists use self-disclosure sparingly, but this could be an ethical issue. I’m sure you know this, but you don’t have to go back & you can absolutely make a report to her licensing board. I hope you find a therapist who focuses on you, you deserve it.
