Almost two months since I turned 36, which means I've already lived 50% of my life. 36 sometimes feels like a jolt. Last year was all about growing – sometimes the sweet kind, sometimes the painful kind. But on the other side of change, there was a stronger me, a clearer sense of purpose. I've traveled miles, met souls that mirrored my own, and learned that building – whether it's projects or relationships – takes both guts and vulnerability. I feel a tad heavier this year. Maybe it's the weight of happiness in my belly😋 or may be it's the weight of all the lessons learned, or maybe it's excitement for what's yet to come. Just compiled these random thoughts about what I learned in my 35th year... things I wish I knew sooner and feel like sharing some of my lessons and reflections from last year. 1. A lot can happen in just a few months. New body, new circle, new everything. 2. Life becomes more meaningful when you realize the simple fact that you will never get the same moment twice. 3. Doubting yourself is normal; letting it stop you is a choice. 4. Mistakes are just data points telling you what not to do in the future. 5. Growth is growth, no matter how small. 6. If you went back and fixed all the mistakes you ever made, you would actually erase yourself. 7. There are no shortcuts to gaining confidence. You have to face your fears. 8. The best way to predict the future is to create it. 9. Manifestation is real. Always speak positively into your life. Change the way you think and the way you speak. 10. When you focus on problems, you will have more problems. When you focus on solutions, you will see more opportunities. 11. What consumes your mind controls your life. 12. If the plan doesn't work, change the plan but never the goal. 13. Always move with strategy, not with emotions. 14. Not everything drawn to you is good for you. 15. Do what you think is right, not what people think is right. In the end, it's you who goes through it. 16. Competition happens at the bottom. People at the top are collaborating. 17. Only take advice from people playing the game. It's too easy to feed you bullsh*t from the sidelines. 18. There are people that will never support you because it's you, and then there are people who will always support you because it's you. You just have to find your people. 19. Hang around winners so your wins don't sound like you're bragging. 20. Everyone in your life will have a last day with you, and you don't even know when that will be. 21. All we get is time and choices. Be wise with both. 22. Your timing is your timing. 23. Wealth is not about having a lot of money; it's about having a lot of options. 24. Anything that costs you your peace is too expensive. 25. Water what waters you. 26. Don't half-ass things. 27. Focus on the step in front of you, not the whole staircase. 28. Sometimes the place you are used to is not the place you belong. 29. Be wild, but stay soft. 30. You can have the worst days of your life and still have the best days of your life happen a few days later. 31. Sometimes the Universe tests you the most when you are close to a new chapter. 32. Life is 10% what you experience and 90% how you respond to it. 33. Having high standards will protect you from low-quality experiences. 34. Everything is figureoutable. 35. There are no failures; you either win or you learn. 36. You are the greatest project you will ever work on. :) Lastly, no matter how rough things get... don't cut your bangs! (Jeez, I got stuck with that for like a year lol) #36 Onward and upward we go!⏫
