@speaklaur i was at a show once where there was somebody in a WHEELCHAIR that ended up back/middle of GA pit and was FURIOUS that we wouldn’t give up our spots on barricade after camping at the venue for 24+ hours. As a disabled person myself, ABSOLUTELY NOT.

i think some people (disabled people included!!!) need to realise that access is set up for disabled people to be safe, not to get barricade.
in some venues the safest place IS barricade, but there are also venues that have areas dedicated to accessibility, often on a balcony-

@ItsSoLinz I was terrified because my filter is weak and what if I say something stupid or wrong? I’m very lucky to have an active chat who make life easy on me and I’ve learned that there are people will actually just accept me for who I am and like me for it.

I love making friends with other streamers because I think there's a real bravery and vulnerability in putting yourself out there in real time. The internet is a weird place where anonymity allows people to be ugly to each other, and streamers let themselves be seen.

So results are in for both my MSLT and my overnight sleep study. My brain said REM is for naps and i’m not allowed to have any deep sleep. I had like 42 micro wake-ups during the night. Ahhh yes. I love adding another chronic condition to my list.

All the replies like “i don’t want to support a problematic author!1! I don’t want to give them money.” Meanwhile they’re probably still buying things from amazon, ordering starbucks via doordash, using uber, etc. you’re already supporting many problematic people and businesses.

People need to stop treating reading as fandom. If you like a book, take note so you can pick up the author’s next book if it appeals. But you need to stop getting ATTACHED to authors. This parasocial style of media interaction is crippling your ability to engage with fiction.
