Reset your goal anon. We say we doing it for consistency. But then feel sad when reach doesn't come our way. We were lying and deceiving ourselves in the first place. The rarest thing right now is becoming a person who is not getting affected by these external force. The whole game was supposed to be upskilling, talk to great people and get the job you want. Reset your goal anon. Reset your goal... peace

One of the feature of rust analyzer extension I love it's annotation to show the implementation part of a struct. Since golang interface implements implicity it was hard for me in starting. While searching, I found an extension that gives similar functionality. If you have used rust and are using Golang at the same time, then you definitely know what I am talking about. Extension name is: GoGo CodeLens marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…

I’m looking for people who are ready to lock in with zero distractions for the next 3 months. Let’s commit to this roadmap and actually follow through. Forget the AI noise for now. Focus on becoming solid in backend engineering and system design. It might sound unrealistic, but you’ll be surprised at how much you grow by the end of June / early July. Read below 👇🏿

Learning rust for quite some weeks. Just made a small tic-tac-toe. The difficult part for me was just the rendering of the board (grid lines) part.

After spending 2 weeks actively on Rust I gone back to JS for an AI application development and I must say I am quite conscious for memory stuff without extra effort. Rust definitely change your perspective in a good way.

@Hesamation Limbic system, prefrontal cortex and attention residue. It's boil down to biology of brain I guess.

your brain functions in “power-saving” mode by default. it’s a state of conserving energy that stops you from doing creative work and pushes you to procrastinate. but you can literally train yourself to enter a “flow state” of deep focus at will. here’s how: > design your environment to flow you into a focus mode. this means elimination before optimization (tools, apps, etc.) put your phone in another room. no notifications or distractions. the environment must swiftly slide you into work mode. > the 5-10 minutes before you start the work matters. short breathing exercise, journaling, anything that works for you. it’s about clarity of intention and making your target obvious. > single focus is key. pick one clear focus and work for it. > 15-25 minutes in work, you get an itch to check your phone or distract yourself. set a distraction stopwatch and time how long you can work before needing to distract yourself. giving in at that point is the worst thing you can do. once you cross that threshold a few times you recognize the feeling and trust the process. you must acknowledge the temptation and resist it. each time, the neuro-pathways associated with deep focus strengthen. it’s literally a training process. > take a real break. no phone. walk around, look out the window, etc. > the compounding effects of this practice will be visible as you do it more and more. > you need to “identify” yourself as someone who operates this way by default and protects their focus and reinforce that identity every time you sit down and push through.

Finding a Rust project is much harder than finding a good MERN stack project. It's easy to find rust tutorials though. I guess the ecosystem is still on grown mode.

There are so many productivity hacks and psychological concepts out there. But one thing is, if you don't try to connect concepts and treat them as isolated, you might end up in a bad place while thinking you are productive. Example: Zeigarnik effect: A psychological effect where unfinished tasks stay active in your brain. Attention Residue: A cognitive cost that happens when you switch tasks. Practically, they collide if you let them be as they are. So you'd better plan how to use the Zeigarnik effect exactly in your favor while avoiding the attention residue. I am not a productivity tips expert. You can just research more via chatgpt and make custom solution according to your lifestyle and work. Peace anon.
