@HikaAki And you can also see that with the whole "counter harmony" thing. In a video he made he said "You know, someone on Twitter told me to stop making up words, but counter melody is a thing". That way he made it seem like you denied the existence of counter melody, which is not true.

Hit me with the hardest truth in Gacha games

Nod-Krai has made it Genshin quite easily. Like it’s not even close. Genshin is actually willing to tell a proper story, where characters are introduced at the beginning of an arc and matter throughout it. Bina’s character arc lasts from 6.0 all the way to 6.3, over 20 hours of content dedicated to fleshing her out. Her relationships with the rest of the cast too matter, Sandrone in particular. Not just the Traveler. That’s not to mention all the ambitious plotlines they pursued with Rerir, Tholindis and Khaenri’ah. They with these characters were willing to explore how a nation descends into genocide, the banality of evil and gave us a heartbreaking tragedy all for characters that will never be playable mind you. Genshin feels like it cared about its story first and foremost. Wuthering Waves’ story is genuinely terrible. There’s no other way to describe it at this point than a collection of flashy advertisements for the banner. Every patch or quest even is just them showcasing the next waifu to collect and it is some of the most shallow shit imaginable most of the time. The arcs never build up to anything, it feels like they are trying to using an episodic structure to tell a long form story and it just doesn’t work. Even the patched and quests that are goof end up getting fucked over by this. 3.1 in particular, Aemeath as a character is mostly exposited to us. Her relationship with Rover is never developed, we only get told she’s our daughter and oops she’s already brain dead and we’re supposed to be sad about the sacrifice. No time is given to develop her and present Rover’s bond. No no no fighting the Voidworm with Lynae and dating Mornye was more important to the plot(they didn’t appear after 3.0 but ok). Actually wasted our time instead of developing the main characters of the chapter. And no, past Rover’s motivation, conflict and bond with Rover doesn’t really change anything bcs we don’t really get much of it shown, mostly exposited, and again that’s not the Rover we play. None of it applies to our Rover meaning instead of playing the actual character we are stuck with this plank of wood. WuWa is one of THE worst structured stories I have ever played that regularly wastes time developing plotlines and characters that don’t matter all to sell them and at the same time dropping all of that investment just to repeat the dog shit formula all over again with a new premise every patch. Its climaxes have no build up and its build up leads to nowhere. The most painful part is sometimes like in 3.1 the formula produces a good story actually, but again don’t expect it to fulfil its potential, you will get burned. Genshin as of Nod-Krai is, well it’s pretty good. Great even. It is willing to sacrifice marketability to make a more cohesive story. Characters won’t just get dropped when their banner ends at the very least.
