I feel part of what made RoA1 special is how fast and relatively offensive it was, no shields, no grabs, just hands. Then RoA2 added a bunch of arguably unneeded mechanics and general jank of 3d.

They had like 10k players on the free weekend and 6k on etalus launch. But like man, the game really left a terrible first impression for a lot of ppl (myself included)

@GarfNumba1Fan @EluTranscendent The game was originally supposed to be a massive smash competitor in the esports space while smash was continuing to shoot itself in the foot repeatedly, then the game didnt get the traction to support it, and alot of people still prefer RoA1. So yeah they probably were that high

@EluTranscendent the Aether studios layoffs that have been happening ever since the Rivals 2 kickstarter have been baffling to me, were Dan's expectations REALLY that high?

@LocalLibraryCat @EluTranscendent During the April 1st livestream they did openly say that their artist team was gonna be downsizing in the coming months. But yeah it is really depressing news.

I’m not opposed to reading them or learning what works. When you jump into a game do you want to see 100 different items or a short list that can expand once you understand the system a bit more? Put yourself in the shoes of a kid or someone just starting today. Forget all the knowledge have from years of playing.

Ain't nobody here using Persim or Oran Berry but they sure would and have used staples like Life Orb or Rocky Helmet for decades now.

@Gamehero24 @NinjaBoiii39 @patatamagica666 @PIMPNITEYT Im pretty sure even someone with a singular braincell could tell that a berry that cures 1 single status or heals 10 HP is a straight downgrade to a berry that cures ALL status and heals like 40-70 HP. Like alot of these items are just "heres an item but worse". No point to em.
