🇨🇳🇵🇰 China–Pakistan propose 5-point plan on Gulf crisis China and Pakistan issued a joint five-point initiative calling for an immediate ceasefire, rapid launch of peace talks, and measures to stabilize the Gulf and wider Middle East. It includes: 1. Immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access to all war-affected areas. 2. Launch peace talks as soon as possible; safeguard sovereignty of Iran and Gulf states; “with all parties committing to peaceful resolution of disputes, and refraining from the use or the threat of use of force during peace talks.” 3. Security of nonmilitary targets: Protect civilians and halt attacks on nonmilitary and critical infrastructure, including energy and nuclear sites. “Fully adhere to International Humanitarian Law (IHL).” 4. Secure shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and restore safe commercial passage: “protect the security of ships and crew members stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, allow the early and safe passage of civilian and commercial ships, and restore normal passage through the Strait as soon as possible.” 5.
