@uncledoomer Lmao. Now im starting to understand how they get that number. >Housing (29-33%): ~$89,000 - $106,000 The largest single category, accounting for the portion of rent, mortgage, utilities, and home maintenance attributed to the child (e.g., the cost of an extra bedroom).

@PeepMcGee @MyLordBebo Or, and here me out here, you can build something for yourself, this thing called a business. I know a guy who has a business selling worms to bait shops. He bangs sticks together in wet fields to draw them to the surface then collects them. Makes good money at it too.

My boy just bagged a corporate job and called me hyped. "Ac, I'm set for life" $140K/year. Benefits. 401k match. Corner office. I congratulated him but I had to show him the math. $140K salary = $8,750/month after tax $2,800 rent $650 car payment (Audi A4) $280 insurance $180 gas $1,200 DoorDash $400 eating out $200 gym $120 subscriptions $1,500 bottle service $900 barber (2x a week) $500 going out $200 random expenses He's left with $820. Daycare? $2,000/month. Now he's -$1,180 every month. $140K/year is survival, bro. how about you setup a store

Inflation hit 9.1% in 2022, when Biden was president (it was 1.4% the day before he took office). If you understand how inflation works, prices never come down as long as inflation is a positive number. If the inflation rate goes down, that just means the rate at which prices are increasing is slower. That's why the high prices caused by Biden's policies never went away. So if America is unaffordable, it's the Democrats' fault.

At this point, I'm curious, if American troops were to actually march across the border.. Wouldn't half the population just welcome them with open arms, And the other half too apathetic and unarmed to do anything about it anyway.

@splendid_pete @henrikn26737363 Hungary is a landlocked country of like 10 million. It has now lost the only reason anyone on the right cared about it, the left hates Hungary for daring to not be slaves the last 15 years. Russia has no incentive to care anymore. Hungary will now be internationally isolated.

@iCreators007 @HollyGrayle I don't even know how to explain to you how much you are missing the point, but I'll try. We'll use the Socratic method. Why is Africa uniquely vulnerable to exploitation from outside powers?

I'm just not sure that I really have the bandwidth to care anymore. For my entire life, I've been fed the idea that if we provide food, medicine, money, and infrastructure to Africans, then they will eventually find their way out of their miserable situation. But they haven't and in all likelihood, they never will. In fact, everything we do to help them just seems to make it even worse. No one - absolutely no one - takes pleasure in seeing children starve. But the constant violence and war and killing and raping and starving and poverty and illness...it's just neverending. I'm at the point where I just think we need to let nature take its course and let their population naturally reduce to a level they can independently sustain. We can't fix these people, and we're going to have to just accept that killing each other is just how they go about their lives.

🇸🇩 In Sudan, more than 60% of the population is suffering from acute food shortages, with millions forced to eat leaves or animal feed to survive. According to the 2026 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan, 61.7% of the population, around 28.9 million people, are acutely food-insecure. Tens of millions in Sudan are living on just one meal a day as the crisis deepens. The war between the Muslim Brotherhood-linked Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, now entering its third year, has displaced millions and fueled one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Reports based on interviews with farmers, traders, and humanitarian workers describe how the war is pushing communities toward famine, driven by the collapse of agriculture and the use of starvation as a weapon, including the deliberate destruction of farms and markets. Aid systems are under severe strain. Communal kitchens are struggling to meet growing demand, while funding cuts are limiting the ability of humanitarian organizations to respond. Women and girls are among the most affected, facing heightened risks of violence and rapes when going to fields, markets, or even collecting water. After years of intense Gaza reporting, the international mainstream media is turning a blind eye to the suffering in Sudan. Why?

It’s hilarious watching Trump, Vance, Musk, and Thiel pretend to fight the ”global elite.” They run the administration, own the platforms, control the media, hold the data, and have all the money. Who exactly are they fighting? They are the deep state they warn you about

@AntiTrumpCanada Liberals got a majority in part by absorbing an allegedly "far right" conservative floor crosser. Orban was replaced by someone who ran to his right on most issues. More countries today have right wing governments than 10 years ago.

Trump is becoming a laughingstock, but if you watch Fox News (I check in on it every day), you have no idea. So if that's all you watch, you'll think everything (including Iran) is going swell. This is part of the reason why Trump can never go below a certain point.

This post is panicslop for people who don't know how the European Union works. Any reform to the voting system would require unanimous approval by the member states. Small countries will never back the removal of their bargaining chip. This is just wishful thinking on von der Leyen's part.

Healthy societies have old people delivering food to rich people. Old people love this. They have no other way they'd rather spend their time than this. Remember when the Trump movement pretended to support economic populism or whatever? Couples with young kids probably love working two or three hourly wage jobs outside their home rather than having one parent stay at home to raise their kid. I bet people also love not being able to buy a house or start a family.

@DrNeilStone There are 45 million children under the age of 12 in the US. 2000 of them have measles (assuming all are in what could generously be considered an at risk age bracket). In 2024 there were almost 3000 cases of measles in the UK, which has a total population of about 70million.

I lived in Hungary for several years under the Orbán dictatorship. The funny thing was, people could and did say whatever came into their heads, protests were held in front of the parliament, there was a gay cruise bar down the road and Orbán held elections. And yet, the country was a dictatorship. Whereas in the UK, people tend to be distinctly guarded and if they do say the wrong thing very publicly, they get locked up. And yet, it's a free country. Once you understand that words can mean whatever we want them to mean, it begins to make sense.

The people in charge don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity. Today's Morning Note newsletter covers Masoud Pezeshkian's condemnation of Trump's “desecration of Jesus,” the Iran War's gutting effects on America's housing market, Colombia's plan to murder Pablo Escobar's hippopotami, and more.
