Serious question. What do you think should happen here? Should the districts lose funding? Should the teachers who did this be fired?

@TodayUpdates0 Yes, because other than sending money to the states and overseeing federal special education law, they’re an impediment. Both functions can be handled by other departments.

Question for MAGA from a liberal woman. "Hi, I'm just wondering if you guys who voted for Trump — did you vote for the Department of Education to be dismantled? Because that's what he's doing right now. MAGA?

@MibshaD I hate to point out the obvious but abortion is the only one in your list that murders a human.

If abortion is "playing God," so is chemo, insulin, and C-sections. Funny how only women's medical choices get called sacrilegious.

@teachthemx3 Most teachers have left the profession before their 5th year for decades. Don’t worry. It sorts itself out.

There are several teachers in my building who are leaving education without a new job offer. Some said they might drive for Uber or DoorDash, and another might apply at Target. They are done with education. Leaving with no plan is better than staying in the dysfunctional environment, in their opinion.

@Outspoken_Sam I don’t believe for a moment you’ve adjusted their salaries based on test scores. Besides, kids aren’t widgets. Teachers don’t control the raw material or the storage conditions after the bell rings. All that impacts performance.

Ya know what gets teachers better pay?? Better outcomes for their students. If students do well, we know teachers are doing their job. But when proficiency levels are horrendously low - why should we pay you more??

Furious parents are now demanding the removal of federal funding for over 20 North Carolina public schools after they engaged in mass, coordinated, teacher-led anti-Trump walkouts, forcing the cancellation of classes for more than 700,000 kids. Here’s the list, make some noise.

@WellsJorda89710 @naomirwolf Why hurt students by cutting funding? Recall the local school board members NOW that supported this. Run to replace them and start having school again.

🚨 PARENTS RISING UP: DEFUND SCHOOLS PRIORITIZING PROTESTS OVER EDUCATION! 🚨 North Carolina just shut down classes for over 700,000 kids so teachers could lead an anti-Trump walkout in Raleigh. At the same time, Chicago Public Schools bused students to May Day protests — handing out the Communist Manifesto while half their kids can’t read at grade level. This isn’t education. It’s political indoctrination using our children as pawns. Demand action now: • Cut federal funding to every district that joined these shutdowns. • Expand school choice so parents can escape failing activist schools. • Put KIDS FIRST — not protests. Taxpayers are done bankrolling this. Share, tag your reps, and fight back! #DefundActivistSchools #KidsNotProtests #ChicagoMayDay #NCEducation #SchoolChoice #ParentsRights #MakeSchoolsGreat

When I left Chattanooga a decade ago, I was the loneliest I’ve ever been. No wife. No kids. $470 to my name. I sold my car because I couldn’t afford the gas. Today, I drove back in with my family. If you’re in a rough patch, hold on. The hard seasons don’t last forever ❤️

@unseen1_unseen @_Americanmom In NC, a good number of districts cancelled school so teachers did not have to take leave. Recall those board members. They’re either too weak to stand for kids/families or they support the lunatic teachers. It’s a bid to unionize and that will be a disaster.

@MargoinWNC we didn’t live in a litigious society and have a history of abusive employer actions. Associations have their place in education, but unions are detrimental to public schools and employees.

@MargoinWNC Students are student teachers. Even they need professional liability insurance. Membership and dues are optional. There’s no collective bargaining in North Carolina. They’re a leftist organization that is big on BS and short on educating anyone. None of this would be an issue if

North Carolina Association of Educators: -Used a lawyer to threaten to sue Michele Morrow for using a clip art apple in a political ad. -Used their network to push democrats to run as Republicans. -Used money to take tour coach buses to drive teachers to Raleigh and abandon their jobs and attend a *protest* in Raleigh. They collect: $500 a year (approximately) in dues per teacher $144 a year (approximately) in dues per retired teacher $33 a year (approximately) in dues per STUDENT $25 a year (approximately) in dues per "COMMUNITY ALLY" They're a nonprofit worth an estimated: Annual revenue: about $7.5M–$9.5M in recent years. Total assets: roughly $5.8M (reported in a recent Form 990) But, that's not enough to HELP to teachers.
