When I lock my doors at night,
it’s not because I hate the people outside…
It’s because I love the people inside.
That’s how borders should be viewed.
Protection isn’t hatred.
Security isn’t “racist”, and putting your own people first should never be controversial.
But somehow… we’ve been conditioned to think it is.
Society has been tricked into believing that common sense is something to be ashamed of.
It isn’t, it’s survival.

We’re investing £64m to transform Port Talbot into Wales' first floating offshore wind hub.
That means 5,000 good jobs, £500m of investment and enough clean power for 6.5m homes.
We are putting Wales at the heart of our clean energy superpower mission.

🐈⬛ And Brobbey, scores! He’s been terrific all game.
Tino Livramento goes to sleep and the big striker forces home from close range.
That goal had also been coming…
Sunderland lead 2-1 here…

Newcastle have struggled to handle Brian Brobbey all game long — and look shattered/out of ideas here. Sunderland at this point look more likely to find a winner… #NUFC #SAFC

A pathetic, weak, lazy, limp second half from Newcastle again #NEWSUN

FT: Newcastle 1 Sunderland 2.
Newcastle ran out of ideas and energy after they went ahead early on.
Sunderland deserved the win with a brilliant away display, shorn of multiple key payers.
The host’s mental block against their arch rivals continues…

To any young kid reading this…
I’ve doubted myself in every league I’ve ever played in.
Ryman Prem.
Conference South.
League Two.
League One.
Championship…
And even right before my first Premier League start last night.
That’s not weakness.
That’s being human.
That’s being alive.
When I was growing up, I thought Premier League players were superhuman.
Like they never felt doubt.
Like they never felt nerves.
The truth is…. it’s often the opposite.
Social media won’t tell you that sometimes you step out there with no confidence. That’s normal. That’s ok!
You now have to then step out there with courage.
Confidence feels good.
Courage doesn’t.
But you do it anyway. Show courage enough times…. You build confidence.
Here’s the mindset that’s carried me for 31 years.
When it goes well:
I worked for it.
I earned it.
Well done.
Watch it back.
Get better.
When it doesn’t:
I know I prepared the best I could.
It didn’t go exactly to plan. That’s football.
But Well done.
Watch it back.
Get better.
That simple recipe gave me a special moment last night.
Leading the team out.
Playing alongside a group that fights for every ball.
Celebrates tackles.
Gives everything for the city of Sunderland.
And sharing it with supporters who never gave up, even after four tough seasons in League One.
So if you’re a young player feeling doubt…
Low confidence…
Or like you don’t believe in yourself…
You’re not alone.
Every player feels it.
Confidence isn’t something you’re given.
It’s something you build.
Bit by bit.
Day by day.
With courage.
With work.
With learning.
Anything worth building takes time.
But that’s what makes it so worthwhile!
Thank you @SunderlandAFC ❤️🤍

@DebbieM_1961 The lads in spoons would do a better job running the country than the clowns we've had in charge for 30 years.
