I’ll be honest - I’ve been living under a rock. As a small-town boy, I’ve never stepped foot in (and my parents could never have afforded) a school that charges ₹2–4 lakhs per quarter. And that’s before you add the transport fee (₹1-2 lakhs), registration fee (₹35,000), admission fee (₹2 lakhs), security deposit, uniforms, stationery, and all the extra-curricular activity charges.
Ladies and gentlemen… meet the fee structure of Pathways School, Noida. Welcome to the other side of the moon.

Was looking at the fee structure of Shiv Nadar school in Noida. No way a person who doesn't earn by illegal means can admit his/her child here. Admission fees: ₹2.1 lakhs Caution money: ₹75k Foundations year: ₹1.11 lakh quarterly Why can't we have one country one school fees?

Happy birthday Sachin Tendulkar. Nothing can truly capture the immense burden he has borne for over two decades & the unbelievable following he has around the world. But this prize winning picture by Atul Kamble of him walking out at the Wankhede for his last test innings comes pretty close!

Certain things don't make any sense. Difficult to explain with any meaningful rationale or logic.
Saw how cheap a decent home near London trending on Twitter. This is not the first time we are seeing a such things. Forget about America or other parts of Europe, I've seen posts where Alps facing houses in Switzerland available for few crores.
Don't know why housing is so expensive in India. What is there to pay say a million dollars for a flat given our pathetic roads, drainage, water connection and so on.
I used to think these things would change. Now I've completely given up.
There is absolutely no logic in pricing of real estate in India. Either you pay what is asked or be left out. I don't think our real estate prices would reflect reality ever.

Every time, there is a chance for peace, Israel sabotages it. Israel is in a permanently destructive mode. Goodwill and empathy towards Israel is vanishing across the world.
Israel cannot do what it does without support of America. So it is America's responsibility to rein in Israel and make them see sense.
Israel is not keen on peace. It wants extinction of all it's enemies.

Today is the day that takes me back to the beginning.
To a time when Marico was an idea taking shape through conviction, uncertainty, learning, and a deep belief that Indian consumers deserved better.
36 years ago, we began this journey with a simple aspiration. To build a company that would make a difference. What started with a separation from Bombay Oil Industries and a small set of brands was really the start of something much larger. It was the beginning of a new mindset, a new culture, and a new way of building.
In the early years, every step taught us something. We learned that building a business is never only about products or scale. It is about clarity of purpose. It is about making tough choices early. It is about having the courage to change, to pivot, and to stay the course even when the road ahead is unclear.
Crossing our first ₹100 crore milestone was a big moment. It gave us confidence that we were building something meaningful. More importantly, it signalled the start of a company that would keep evolving, keep learning, and keep pushing itself to do better.
When I look back today, I do not only think of milestones. I think of people. The many individuals who believed in the journey, shaped it, strengthened it, and carried it forward with commitment and pride.
Marico has always stood for making a difference. That idea has guided us from the beginning, and it continues to define who we are.
On our Foundation Day, I feel grateful for the journey behind us and deeply energised by what still lies ahead.
