A New Year is a time for new beginnings. And so it is for me. Starting 2024, I will collect NFT art exclusively on Vitruveo, the Blockchain for Creators that I am building and leading. My collection over multiple accounts consists of 7,500+ artworks and of these I have sold zero. In three years, there has been no meaningful innovation in the web3 art business model. It's a broken system and it forces Artists down a path that leads to fighting for scraps. Artists spend countless hours trying to sell their work and have very little time left to create. There is no pathway to any form of sustainable income for most Artists. Many artists believe that by minting their artworks they protect their work forever and also register it as their intellectual property. Non-existent standards and brittle data models mean the dream of "perpetuity on the blockchain" is just a fantasy — it doesn't really exist. Since no one else was doing anything to fix this and advocate for Artists, I decided to step up. The result is Vitruveo, a Blockchain, a Cryptocurrency ($VTRU), and a Vertically Integrated Ecosystem just for Creators. Vitruveo is open, community-owned, DAO-managed, decentralized, standards-based, innovative and most importantly, laser focused on making sustainable income through art a reality for Artists. In the big scheme of things, I realize my collection activity was insignificant. But in my heart, I hope I helped a few Artists advance on their journey. There are plenty of amazing collectors on Eth, Tez and Sol who will continue to support all the Artists and someday, I hope they too will check out Vitruveo. For me, right now, the direction is clear. I need to support the blockchain I have built and give it all my love and attention. With Vitruveo, I want to do more for Artists than just collect artworks — I want to help Artists create wealth and forever put to rest any doubts of art as a legitimate, full-time profession. I am going to continue working very hard to build Vitruveo. I hope to EARN your Trust and welcome you to Vitruveo very soon as a VTRU Dreamer.
