The Greens won the Gorton and Denton by-election with a 26.4% swing against Labour. They would require a 20.4% swing to win in Makerfield. 👀

ngl I'd be happy to see the Greens sit this one out to avoid splitting the vote - Burnham winning is probably the best result given he'd oust Starmer & probably introduce PR. He'd also make Labour a party the Greens could work with too.
