I am running both the Battersea 10k in June and the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October to raise money for @braintumourorg. In 2022 we got the news that my Mum had an acoustic neuroma, which was a really scary time for all of us as a family. justgiving.com/page/izzy-snap…

This led me to shadow an NHS community paediatric dysphagia team to get hands-on experience in case history, intervention techniques, and real-life applications of what I learned. I also signed off over double the required contact hours for my paediatric dysphagia competencies!

In August, I attended a summer crash course on paediatric #dysphagia by @savseniorSLT and Chelsea, covering anatomy, physiology, intervention, assessment, and more. This has deepened my understanding of swallowing phases, intervention hierarchy, and assessments for complex cases!
