I keep coming back to this: was Tua ever actually going to tell Arnold? Because the timing makes it hurt so much worse. Arnold didn’t just find out it was exposed publicly, on a radio show, after he had already committed, invested his time, and even proudly told his mom about it. That changes everything. It turns what could’ve been a difficult but private conversation into something humiliating and disorienting. And it raises a bigger question about Tua’s intentions. Was he planning to come clean eventually? Did he think it wouldn’t matter once Arnold got used to it?
