@db_fink £100k is too much money for one single individual. Personal allowance shouldn’t reduce it should be removed altogether. We need fewer elites being extravagant with their money and more support for hard working families.

Here’s an idea. How about we don’t reduce the personal allowance after £100k and stagger child benefit off just like how universal credit payments get tapered down the more people earn over the threshold? We need growth now - we don’t need consumers squirrelling money away into their pensions via salary sacrifice. It would also encourage people to actively take on more risk in their jobs
