@Nature They hiked the postdoc pay but awarded only 130 awards this year! An all time low. They took the funds of some awards and gave them to fewer winners. It is unfair.

@J356170J Congrats on being next in line! I actually don't know:( I have heard anecdotally of people being bumped based on waiting lists but that's only rumor and not based on anything official...I hope it works out for you!

If you're considering applying for a @SSHRC_CRSH postdoc, the deadline in September will be here before you know it. I have worked with some amazing postdocs & am always open to hearing from scholars who do work in the developmental forensic space!

@J356170J That said, it seemed to be decently common for a person to get a banting first and then get the regular sshrc to extend their postdoc. But I think the saw the banting is getting phased out so maybe look into that.
