@BBCNews Absolutely zero reason to report it this way. More shameful behaviour from the BBC.

@gerome_agius @sbzcomps It’s boring anti-football and any advantage is massively overstated against the negatives

@sbzcomps Boring anti-football. Typical of Slots mentality. Ban tactics like this with a rule similar to icing.

@Auz_11 @Channel4News Morocco are the ones that paid for it, why would they end it? I think they should have forfeit it at the time, but as the ref played the remainder of the match Senegal went on to win and should be champions.

@Channel4News Morocco could end this nonsense by insisting that they don't deserve the title, and that any punishment should have been dealt out in the moment or not at all. We all know who the African Champions are. Will they strip England of their '66 WC too due to new goal-line technology?

Senegal are refusing to hand back the Africa cup of Nations trophy - after being stripped of the title they won back in January. Senegal had beaten Morocco 1-0 in the cup final - but walked off the pitch in protest at an earlier penalty decision.

The task has got even harder for Man City 😫 Bernardo Silva is sent off for handball as Vinicius Jr makes it 4-0 on aggregate from the penalty spot 🟥⚽

@ManCity The referee ruined the game. Yes, it was a penalty but a red card was too much.

19. Real Madrid are awarded a penalty and we're reduced to 10 after Bernardo Silva is adjudged to have blocked Vinicus' shot with his arm. 🩵 0-0 ⚪️

Mandy Wixon has been sentenced to 13 years in jail after keeping a woman enslaved for 25 years. The woman was passed into the care of Wixon in 1996, and for more than two decades, Wixon forced her to clean her home, kept her captive and made her live off scraps. The prosecution also said Wixon claimed benefits on the woman’s behalf, amounting to over £100,000. Wixon has not expressed remorse over what happened and will serve two-thirds of the sentence behind bars.
