Hey, @OfficialNBARefs can you explain how this charge wasn’t a no call? Because from what I see, KAT:
- Receives the ball outside of the defensive box
- Loses control of the ball
- Regains possession and clearly doesn’t have time to move out of the way of the defender.

By rule, a defensive player must allow a moving player that is receiving a pass, outside of the lower defensive box, an opportunity to avoid contact. The speed of the player will determine the amount of distance an opponent must allow. On this play, Brunson does not give Gilgeous-Alexander an opportunity to avoid contact after receiving a pass outside of the LDB and therefore Brunson is not in a legal guarding position. The referees will then judge if the contact affects the SQBR (Speed, Quickness, Balance, or Rhythm) of Gilgeous-Alexander. If it does, this would be a blocking foul and if it does not then a no call would be appropriate.

Should the Knicks keep their core 7, or is a major change necessary before the February 5th NBA trade deadline?

1. Jalen Brunson
2. Josh Hart
3. OG Anunoby
While
- Karl-Anthony Towns
- Mikal Bridges
- Mitchell Robinson
- Deuce McBride
could be in their FINAL DAYS as New York Knicks.
Even without a Giannis deal, I infer that the Knicks front office is preparing for a major roster shake up.
Karl-Anthony Towns looks like the odd man out and here’s several bold trade targets
1. Zion Williamson
2. Domantas Sabonis
3. Jrue Holiday & Jerami Grant

and Precious Achiuwa
for
Malcolm Brogdon,
Jordan Clarkson,
and Guerschon Yabusele…
That was their offseason.
Brogdon retired,
Guerschon isn’t a good fit,
Clarkson is a stylistic upgrade over payne
But they essentially lost a body in Precious
They didn’t revamp their bench.
They just got a coach who would play one
