@JABecker16 Thank you. Although nothing shows on the MRI, indications are that I had a small posterior stroke Tuesday morning. Cognitive functions are fine, but I have balance issues. I need to learn to walk without wobbling.

In the stroke rehab clinic, everyone is delighted to learn that I’m a science fiction writer. They ask about my work; and two of them have asked who my favorite writer is. I explain that Jack McDevitt writes phenomenal books AND that he inspired me to return to writing. I explain that he writes deep, thought-provoking books, and I look forward to every one. And I tell how honored I am that Jack provided the cover quote for my first novel. This field has been very good to me. I have met so very many close friends and mentors. Jack McDevitt is at the top of that list. Thank you, Jack.
