I wonder if other humans with long hair scare themselves when their hair lightly brushes their shoulders and immediately thinks there’s a bug crawling on them? Or is it just me?

@TheRevTy @Daniel_Ross622 I read a book by Matthew Kelly “Life is Messy” and he wrote that the Japanese art form of Kintsugi is a perfect illustration of how we can become whole and even more beautiful through our brokenness. Now each time I see it, I tear up, reminded that in my brokenness…I am whole.

@Daniel_Ross622 I have used it as a sermon illustration for years after hearing a presenter talk about it at a convention. After a vessel has been broken, it is put back together using mortar infused with 24k gold, thus making otherwise worthless shards into a priceless piece of art.

@wichitalifeict Des Moines—Des Moines River. Minneapolis—Mississippi River. (Midwestern gal here!!) So much to do around and on the rivers…and the views! DSM has a large lake north of the city that feeds into the river. Lots of fun things to do up there!

“Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness.” This Maya Angelou quote is so painfully true. I don’t know the context of these 2 sentences, but standing alone on my screen, I feel like she wrote these words for my heart.

@Daniel_Ross622 Word of advice, don’t store them in the garage. My husband’s set warped in the TX & KS summer garage heat.

@daveshrein Have you tried Arcade’s Patterned? The aesthetics and the music are beautiful. I can almost get to a “nothing box” in my mind when I play.

@tsh I have always had lists and they work well for me. Friends & Family, Faith, Health & Food, News, Local Things, Marketing/Comm (my field), Leadership, Minimal Living. I then can filter what I’m seeing or mentally ready for.

Been thinking about unfollowing a lot and creating lists to follow instead, which I sorta did a few years ago. Anyone else do that? Any tips on how to make lists work well for you?
