Farmers’ Producer Organisations (FPOs) from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh representing around 10,000 farmers gathered at @iitbombay on 26th December 2024 along with #NCDEXIPFT officials to discuss the impact of commodity derivative suspensions on their livelihoods. Shri Pasha Patel, Chairman of the State Agriculture Price Committee, Maharashtra, emphasised the importance of FPOs accessing commodity derivatives markets for price discovery and risk mitigation, advocating for collaborative efforts between the government and NCDEX to empower farmers and build a sustainable agri ecosystem. Dr. Sarthak Gaurav (@sanugaur) IIT Bombay presented the highlights from the study conducted by IIT Bombay - Shailesh J.
