Easiest “one stop shop” book for understanding what’s involved in leveling up the spiritual hierarchy is the book “The Laws Of The Spirit World” by Khorshed Bhavnagri. Easy means simple language, spelled out plainly, for the common person. It largely (oddly so) matches what I’ve deduced about how life works in context of afterlife mechanics. I read it recently per recommendation by a friend. While I don’t agree with everything stated therein, but enough is worthwhile that I recommend it. A few affordable copies are left on eBay, else find a digital copy somewhere: ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nk… As for joining a secret society to level up… well, real secret societies are invite-only, where you’re watched & vetted first, approached only because you’re already one of them but didn’t know it, for good or for bad depending on your soul nature & caliber. The real ones are headed up by clairvoyants acting on behalf of nonphysical or alien beings. You’re put through tests anyway to ensure you make the grade. If you’re not exquisitely evil enough, or not distinctively good/smart/wise/brave/strong enough, you won’t make the cut for either group. This all ties into destiny/karma, getting brought back into the fold of what you’ve long been part of. In the end, you’re useful to them, and they’re useful to you, and both are far enough beyond consensus reality & the general public that budding off into a breakaway is the necessary option. So unless you stand at the threshold of what it commonly means to be human, forget about joining any secret society because the ones available to the public, or that do advertise & can be joined for a monthly/yearly fee, are imitations or “inspired by” at best & exploitative traps at worst. This includes the faux illuminati that those satanic celebrities & industry musicians think they’re joining. So avoid joining secret societies. Most are wannabes, including freemasonry, AMORC, and the rest. AMORC is more a home study system & online community with in-person meetups. Freemasonry is more an old boy’s club/fraternity. These all contain real teachings (in part) yes, but incomplete & often in a “monkey see, monkey do” fashion no different from religion or a cult. Worse, if you take on their identity, paradigm, limitations, and NDA or vow of silence, you’re restricted from helping others with info as freely as you would be otherwise. And often it’s not even knowledge that’s all that special (since they’re not a REAL secret society, but pretends to be, having just a few crumbs they jealously guard). You get captured, isolated, again like a cult. So forget that, and focus on honing your virtues, knowledge, wisdom, and soul potential in everyday life, in line with your particular destiny or spiritual incarnational life curriculum. The metaphysics of ADHD & Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome is an interesting topic. What’s revealing is how, as you said, cold plunges, sleep, and exercise can help with it. For starters, it’s known that the cold plunge works best when done voluntarily in an act of freewill, rather than if it were forced (like falling through ice). This shows that the application of agency is a key factor. In your words, “activating the sleeping muscle of spirit.” The Scandinavian practice of sauna & rolling in the snow is similar. I agree about the importance of the spirit-based solution (freewill, will) rather than solely relying on material fixes. Material solutions work on material problems (food fixes caloric deprivation) but if the cause originates in a different domain (etheric, astral, or entirely metaphysical) then the material fix becomes zero sum in that whatever it solves now gets cancelled by a reactive effect later. The issues at the root of ADHD & CDS, besides brain anatomy or neurochemical issues, is lack of quantum coherence across the brain, lack of etheric “grip” upon the brain by the soul due to that, and lack of agency stemming from a constriction of the up/down conduit extending up toward spirit. There’s an impairment in that top-down hierarchy of influences from the spirit down to the body. Anywhere along that chain, dysfunction within & between the different layers will impact a person’s cognitive & behavioral output. The astral is the mediator between etheric & spirit. In Steiner/Rosicrucian/Theosophical systems, it’s the apparatus of impressions, passions, feelings, and drives. If the spirit has little grip over it, or from the other end the brain & etheric lack sufficient instinctual or habituated regulation mechanisms over the astral functions, then the astral is like a boat without an anchor or dock line, just drifting about bumping into things with every wave & gust of wind. So anything that increases coherence/synchronization at each level & up/down that stack, would put Humpty Dumpty back together & result in a more “put together” person instead of someone that’s ungrounded, fidgety, flighty, swinging to & fro. That’s why people who are self-aware, introspect deeply, and are in touch with their spiritual source come off as level, poised, and grounded… the opposite of ADHD. There are other things that will help, like mindfulness meditation, contemplating deeply in a way that merges logic with intuition, and body-awareness exercises especially moving meditations like Tai Chi where you’re continually connecting with the body & applying volition. I think this all boils down to three things: 1. Agency - the spirit applying itself. 2. Energy - having the fuel to carry out that choice. 3. Structure - having healthy coupling channels between & within the layers all functioning properly. Sleep provides energy, heals/supports structure, and involves the soul (lower parts) merging closer with spirit especially during delta sleep. The ice plunge is a massive act of agency. Aerobic exercise & ice plunge also kick mitochondria into overdrive. Mitochondria pull in (or generate) etheric energy. Some if not many mental/emotional/cognitive dysfunctions are based in mitochondrial disorders. You can see how it’s all related. So if these things can help bring a person back to equilibrium, it’s no surprise that esoteric training systems use the same principles to push one further past that toward a spiritually excited state (excited in the sense of an electron being stimulated into a higher orbit). That higher state can eventually become the new equilibrium. Example: the Fourth Way practice of “intentional suffering” or Toltec exercise of “not-doing.” The first is intentionally enduring discomfort, the second is not giving into programmed impulses. Both acts of agency & de-mechanization. Catch is that if will isn’t routed through the heart (the higher emotional center) then it can become a cold kind of will, even dark. On a side note, I should mention that exercising agency over one’s mind & body is only possible if the neural etheric field increases its grip to convey that choice, so if you keep pushing it, that alone can spur the body’s subtle energy systems into adapting to provide that increased grip via increased density & structuring of the subtle energy field. If developed enough, that process can even allow the etheric to extend beyond the body & start influencing other people, which Boris Mouravieff wrote about. He called this a process of developing a “magnetic center” and said that, if done in an aberrant way (i.e. the lack of heart I mentioned above) where will pivots more on ego rather than heart/spirit, then one develops a “black magnetic center” which leads to a dark charm that cult leaders & black magicians have that gives them command over the weak minded. This, versus a normal or healthy magnetic center that you find in saints & spiritual masters that creates a sense of reverence & deferment in people.

So while consciousness underlies everything, this ground of being projects two domains: {deterministic, mechanical, mathematical} phenomena AND {nondeterministic, spiritual, metaphysical} being The first is passive sleeping consciousness, the latter active living consciousness. The dream & the dreamer. Frozen thought & thinker. Each domain (with its numerous subdomains) is its own ontology, having its own rules, processes, and history. This means you can’t use math equations to figure out karma, lessons, love, or enlightenment. But neither can you use spiritual laws to derive the equations of a physical system. And yet, the mechanical side of existence serves the metaphysical side. It provides the environment, props, and bodies for the story of spirit. Passive is subordinate to the active. A common misconception is that occult phenomena like the etheric body & plane, the tunnel seen during many NDEs, astral projection, telekinesis, other realms, or the transparency of ghosts are all “spiritual” things. But these are mechanics, not metaphysics. They’re not spiritual in the sense of the divine will or the meaning of life. They’re phenomena with rules that govern the nature & behavior of substance & form. That means it’s possible to extend science beyond the material realm, to understand with mathematical precision the nature of the etheric & astral planes, other realms, observations of paranormal phenomena, etc. Whatever is within the domain of mechanics, even if nonphysical, can in theory be understood, measured, even engineered & manipulated. And doing so does NOT replace metaphysics. Materialists want to reduce everything spiritual to physical explanations, but that isn’t what I’m talking about here. Sur la deconstruction des structures d’autorité : Anecdote : Un jour de l’an, j’ai discuté avec le chef d’une caserne militaire. Il m’expliquait qu’ils reçoivent régulièrement de jeunes délinquants pendant 6 mois. Comme nous étions le 31 décembre, je lui ai dit : « Ils doivent avoir hâte de rentrer chez eux. » Sa réponse m’a surpris. « C’est l’inverse. Beaucoup ne veulent pas partir. » Puis il m’explique quelque chose de très simple : « Ces jeunes n’ont souvent connu aucun cadre stable. Pas de règles claires. Pas de repères solides. Pas de structure. » Contrairement à ce qu’on répète souvent, l’être humain ne veut pas seulement être libre. Il a aussi besoin d’appartenir à quelque chose qui le dépasse et qui lui donne une place. Il enchaine : « Quand tu regardes les vidéos de propagande djihadiste, ça parle finalement assez peu de religion. Ça parle surtout de mission, de trouver sa place dans un groupe. » Et c’est probablement l’un des grands angles morts de nos sociétés modernes.
