Sinbad was 15 and a half years old and has been on medication since he was diagnosed with a blood condition when he was 6. He’s always been a warrior. But with any senior pet, I think you prepare yourself for everything that comes with aging. Preparing for death is never easy.

It has been a rough couple of days. Saturday night, Sinbad took a turn for the worse. But I still had high hopes. I put him in his bed where he seemed comfortable. Shortly before 1:00, he lifted his head and was opening his mouth without making any sounds or other movement.
