🔺️بين كعبة مكة وعين الكعيبة : كيف هندس القرامطة قبلتهم البديلة؟ شهد التاريخ الإسلامي في القرن الرابع الهجري واحدة من أغرب الحوادث وأشدها جرأة، تمثلت في محاولة حركة "القرامطة" تغيير جغرافية الإسلام الروحية، وتحويل قبلة المسلمين من مكة المكرمة إلى شرق الجزيرة العربية، وكان الشاهد الأثري الباقي على هذه المحاولة هو ما يُعرف تاريخياً بـ "كعبة القرامطة" أو موقع "عين الكعيبة" في محافظة القطيف بالمملكة العربية السعودية. بدأت فصول القصة في موسم الحج لأحد الأعوام الهجرية، عندما قاد زعيم القرامطة، أبو طاهر الجنابي، هجوماً دمويّاً على مكة المكرمة أسفر عن مقتل آلاف الحجاج وردم بئر زمزم بالجثث، وفي خطوة صدمت العالم الإسلامي، قام القرامطة باقتلاع الحجر الأسود من ركن الكعبة المشرفة وسلب كسوتها، ونقلوهما على متن عدة جِمال نَفَقَت تِباعاً من ثقله إلى عاصمتهم في إقليم البحرين التاريخي بشرق السعودية حالياً. وبأمر من أبي طاهر، بدأ القرامطة في تنفيذ مخططهم العقائدي بصناعة بديل كامل للمشاعر المقدسة، حيث اختاروا عين ماء غزيرة وارتوازية شمال شرق بلدة "الجش" في القطيف لتكون مركزاً للموقع، وعلى عكس كعبة مكة المربعة، بنى القرامطة سوراً جدارياً دائري الشكل يحيط بالعين مستخدمين الحجارة المشذبة والطين والجص المحلي، ونصَبوا الحجر الأسود في هذا البناء الدائري لتصبح العين في منتصفه، في محاولة لربط بئر زمزم بالعين الجديدة وليتم الطواف حول الماء والحجر معاً. كما أطلقوا على المواضع المحيطة بالعين أسماء المشاعر الحجازية فحددوا موضعاً لـ "عرفات"، وآخر لـ "المشعر الحرام"، وثالثاً لـ "منى" لاستنساخ مناسك الحج كاملة، إلا أنهم فشلوا في سرقة "مقام إبراهيم" بعدما نجح سدنة الحرم المكي في إخفائه بشعاب مكة. بعد الفراغ من التشييد، حاول القرامطة إجبار القبائل العربية وقوافل الحجاج على تغيير وجهتهم باستخدام القوة العسكرية، فكانوا يقطعون الطرق المؤدية إلى مكة ويخيرون المسافرين بين الحج إلى "كعبة القطيف" أو القتل والسلب، ورغم هذا التهديد العنيف، واجه المشروع فشلاً ذريعاً ومقاطعة شعبية شاملة، حيث رفض عامة المسلمين الاعتراف بالمكان واعتبروا الطواف حوله خروجاً عن الملة، فظل الموقع مهجوراً دينيّاً ولم يحج إليه أحد. وتحت وطأة المقاطعة والضغوط السياسية والتهديدات العسكرية من الخلافة الفاطمية في مصر، والوساطات والمبالغ المالية الطائلة التي عرضتها الخلافة العباسية في بغداد، رضخ القرامطة في النهاية، وبعد عقود من الاحتجاز، أُعيد الحجر الأسود إلى مكة المكرمة على متن جمل واحد قوي لم يمت في طريقه بل سمن، وبخروج الحجر، سقطت الرمزية الدينية والسياسية للموقع تماماً، وعاد المكان إلى طبيعته كعين ماء عادية يستفاد منها في ري البساتين والمزارع المحيطة بها حتى نضبت المياه الجوفية وجفت العين تماماً في أواخر القرن الماضي جراء التوسع العمراني. ولاحقاً تلاشت قوة القرامطة العسكرية نهائياً وقضي على دولتهم على يد عبد الله بن علي العيوني مؤسس الدولة العيونية.

New York is not a melting pot. It is cultural domination by White and Black Americans, and the only way to assimilate is to identify with one stream or the other. But if you are brown, you will keep making faux pas because you never belong to either. New York is not a brown city. There is barely any cultural production by Indians and Pakistanis there. For Pakistanis, the third option is often some essentialist Muslim identity that reduces you to mosque, hijab, biddah and fitna, and yokes you to Arabs and Africans you don’t even share a language with, and certainly not any ideology with if you’re a serious musician. Even black Americans will dunk on her for privilege while being oblivious to their own. In the lap of empire, they are at least culturally privileged AF. Their culture dominates; they move with the certainty that they belong, they are born with one of the strongest passports in the planet, they don’t have to contort their mouths and tongues to speak in a foreign accent in order to belong. That is not a privilege afforded to the immigrant. She may come from a country where people have servants, but she has also spent decades as a musician. I don’t approve of her appropriating Pakistani singers and lyricists without credit but she did still come up through her own work/grifting, not just her parents’ money. All this dunking on her proves that you may be the burgerest of burgers back home, but in a new country you will still always be TRYING to fit in.
