You don’t get stronger by testing your 1 rep max every session you are in the gym.
You get stronger by training. If you burn yourself by doing 1 working set, you are missing out on a lot of volume.
Test your max 2-4 a year not once every month.
Less is better.
It is most unlikely that you will improve on 10 lifts even if you give it your all everyday.
However, if you put all the effort into 2 lifts, you will have no choice but to excel in those.
Don’t try to get strong at everything at the same time.
No energy is worth spending on things you don’t control.
What happened yesterday is out of your control, focus on what you can do today for a better tomorrow.
Work today so tomorrow is better.
What makes today so much more important that yesterday is that today will change tomorrow.
Yesterday is over and nothing can change that.
Don’t focus on what you can’t control.
It is not about making it tomorrow. It is about still doing it next month, next year, etc…
They guy you see with this amazing physique hasn’t been working out for 1 month. He has been doing it for years.
Focus on where you will be in 1, 2, 3, 5 plus years!
Giving meaning (to something or someone) is giving leverage over you.
Holding out on it will give you so much control over your emotions.
You don’t tell people you had breakfast because it is meaningless.
However, when there is a problem you tell all about.
There is no flaw in a bad plan.
There is flaw in not having a plan.
You can always change a plan if it doesn’t work.
You can’t make sure to go somewhere when you have no plan.
Your mindset is killing your goals!
Stop going after your goals everyday, instead focus on what you need to do to reach your goals. The rest will come.
Focus on the work and not the end goal.
