We Build…® Communities JC&Aers had the opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity last week on an active build in Abington, MA! It felt great to roll up our sleeves, don our favorite @bruntworkwear boots and frame walls for someone’s future home. Our team is incredibly proud to practice our “Doing Well by Doing Good” philosophy by volunteering with great local organizations like South Shore Habitat for Humanity, Father Bills & Main Spring, Interfaith Social Services, Animal Rescue League of Boston and Boston Children’s Hospital.

From early projects to the work we are delivering today, JC&A has had the opportunity to build for incredible clients and work alongside remarkable partners. This week we are reflecting on our longstanding relationship with MathWorks. For more than two decades, JC&A has been a trusted GC for the company. Our team has delivered numerous renovations at the software firm’s Apple Hill Drive campus in Natick, MA, and the partnership continues today. In fact, MathWorks appreciated our longtime superintendent, Mike Zechello, so much that they eventually hired him. Looking back at these photos, it is amazing to see how young everyone looks and how much the technology has changed.

This week, we’re reminiscing about one of our earliest groundbreaking ceremonies. In 1997, the team celebrated breaking ground in Westwood, MA, for Mulbury Childcare—paving the way for many future projects in the academic sector. Since then, we’ve dug our fair share of dirt, marking hundreds of milestones with our signature silver-plated shovels. More recently, one groundbreaking that stands out was our partnership with Rhino Capital at the Business Park at Myles Standish, which marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Taunton’s development.

We Build…® Ground Up The Business Park at Myles Standish, 245 5th Avenue in Waltham, 50 Otis Redevelopment, Middlesex Savings Bank, the Skating Club of Boston and Merchant’s Row are just a few prime examples of JC&A’s diverse ground-up construction projects throughout Massachusetts. We take great pride in seeing these buildings come to life and become lasting fixtures in the communities we serve.

The tour focused on the blend of architecture and art, which was a fantastic segue for fun conversation when the group shared cocktails and hot takes together at the museum café after the tour. We Build…® Communities It’s hard to believe that February is coming to an end! At JC&A, we are still feeling the love. Our team had several great opportunities to give back to the community this month, including preparing and delivering bagged lunches for Father Bills shelter, holding an in-office fundraiser to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital and supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters at their “Big Night”! Today, we’re #throwingback to one of JCAres’ early events, the Boston Heart Walk, benefitting the American Heart Association.

It took 46 years, but to the day, Team USA did it again—no doubt with the spirit of Johnny Gaudreau fully present. This year’s Olympic gold wasn’t just a win. It was a reminder of what belief, grit, and team-first mentality can produce when it matters most. A new generation carried the moment, but the heart felt familiar. That feeling brought us back to 2023, when we had the opportunity to hear Jim Craig, goalie of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice,” share his story at the grand opening of our Labs@128 Stationproject in Westwood, MA. Jim didn’t talk about highlights or headlines—he talked about preparation, pressure, and showing up when expectations say you shouldn’t. Watching Team USA reclaim gold in 2026 felt like the same story continuing. Different faces. Same mindset. Do you believe in miracles? We do.
