Our very own Pauline Kelly will be discussing Junior Cycle poetry and how to best support students in their poetic journey to the Final Examination.

As it was Valentine's Day, they had to write a 3 stanza poem about two unlikely romantic characters and how they first met. Students loved revisiting their fond memories of the books and came up with some great mismatched characters.

Valentine's Day exercise that could be adapted for any class. Students read the poem 'A Crow and a Scarecrow' by Carol Ann Duffy. They were horrified that the crow pecked the scarecrow apart. We linked in with the classics below explaining rhyme is often important in storytelling

Due to the proximity of Xmas, @WexfordEdCentre are postponing the webinar on JC Drama scheduled for Monday the 13th of Dec to a less pressured time for teachers. In response to requests, they will also repeat the Dec 2nd poetry night. Dates will be posted on the website shortly.
