¿Estamos de acuerdo en que 28 Days Later es, con diferencia, la mejor película de su saga?

@TheCinesthetic That is not true dear cinesthetic. Greetings.

Danny Boyle only directed the opening scene of 28 Weeks Later before handing the film over to Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. No wonder that farmhouse sequence feels like pure chaos straight out of 28 Days Later.

@28alexslater The opening scene is directed by Danny Boyle, the rest of the film is by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo.

World war Z en 2013. Con lo cual quizás podríamos decir que lo de la “escencia” es más bien al revés? Saludos

@UnCinefago @JCFresnadillo Discula pero es la que peor terror tiene y es en escencia guerra mundial z

knocked out by 28 WEEKS LATER (Fresnadillo '07) [8] late last night at @burgkino Vienna. I went in thinking it was probably the best of the trilogy, but turns out this is true by quite some distance.
Script-issues, yep—but still one smashingly visceral horror/action experience.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo told me he shot Damsel like a National Geographic doc with a dragon that was inspired by a wounded lioness.:

@TheCinesthetic That information is not true. Danny Boyle directed only a few shots from the entire opening of the film. He was very generous to come for a few days to direct those shots with the second unit.

Movies with an opening scene that is vastly superior to the rest of the film?

Honourable Mention: #28WeeksLater
"The U.S. Army is responsible for your safety."
The opening 15 minutes of Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's sequel to Danny Boyle's 28 𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘓𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 are awesome. The tension is judged masterfully, the reuse of John Murphy's "In the House – In a Heartbeat" is amazing, and that shot of Robert Carlyle sprinting through a field with a load of zombies chasing him is spectacular. Some say the rest of the movie is pretty meh, but I disagree. I think the premise of NATO military forces trying to salvage a safe zone in London for the uninfected is interesting, and using the Isle of Dogs as a location was an inspired choice. This was my first time revisiting Fresnadillo's post-apocalyptic horror film since the Covid-19 outbreak, and holy moly does this movie have a different meaning now. I forgot just how much of a pandemic flick it is, and how bleak it is. Clearly the screenwriters had little faith in institutions if we ever did enter a lockdown type situation.
