@wongmjane I turned on the auto-expand shortly after joining and it makes others' CWs into minor visual clutter.
But posting about some topics does feel like walking on eggshells.

Mastodon brings out a number of good ideas, and I appreciate its open ecosystem as well, but:
The culture on Mastodon is a bit repressive to my taste. Like how selfies, food pics, takes, etc are expected to be labeled with CW. I don’t know the full list of things that needs to be tagged CW. Whenever I think of posting or saying anything on Mastodon, I live in the constant fear that if I miss, I worry the post might lead to my instance to be defederated by other instances
So rather than reducing myself into saying bland, generic things on Mastodon, I ended up saying nothing there
And as far as I observed, this culture isn’t a thing on Bluesky (at least as of now)

Dumb q for people signing up on bluesky: Why would you touch a Jack Dorsey social network with a ten foot pole at this point like is anything different gonna happen?

@heyyitsjanea I wouldn't hear any of that over my tinnitus so it seems like a waste of $600.

I don’t really understand GPT like tools, but if we could increase the input size to say, an entire codebase, and then ask it to output a diff implementing a feature…
Well in that case what do we need the code for? We could just tell it to make the system exist and let it worry about the internal representation

@RepKatiePorter Can we also get a law that blocks executives from failed banks from being execs at another bank?

So if you’re interested an early version lies here github.com/Rickasaurus/Ba…
I never did figure out how to open source past acquisition.

@Danthar @onionhammer @dustinmoris Yeah, I once dug into the Graph client, trying to understand an error... 🤕
English

@onionhammer @dustinmoris I have and. I've seen worse... The graph api client is also a gem. I think that one is fully code generated or something.

@borgposting Looking for more authors who have a ton of great shorts. Philip Dick, Gene Wolfe, R.A. Lafferty, who else?

@Cooperstreaming Given some other comments you've made about programming, should I get my shit together and work on the voice-to-code project I've been thinking about?
(my hands are kind of shitty so I figure I'll need it at some point)

@JCMRVA @sergey_tihon @JetBrainsRider Sorry, I'm not sure I get what you mean. Could you show an example?

Matching #fsharp values is easier in @JetBrainsRider 2023.1, thanks to the new completion suggestion and quick fixes

@auduchinok @sergey_tihon @JetBrainsRider Would be cool if it could notice constants but I guess that needs an FCS update.

@jordan_n_marr @raimeyuu We have all warnings as errors (but suppressed the recent-ish task optimization thing).

PSA: Add this to your #fsharp projects to ensure you don't miss any exhaustive pattern matching warnings:
