@JCP_L Hi July 7th came and went. July 8th is almost over (that is where you said that the remaining customers would be restored). We still have no power (and hundreds of our neighbors have no power, so it is not "very localized"). Can you please give an accurate estimate?

Power has been restored to 320,000+ of the approx 350,000 customers affected by the heat and 4 days of severe weather. While we've made significant progress, we’re not taking our foot off the gas. For the customers remaining without power – hear you, we see you and we're coming.

@JCP_L Been out since Friday. Crews were out yesterday but “couldn’t get what they needed to work” and left. This is a disgrace.

@JCP_L You keep sending me texts that power has been restored and I respond with PSO. This has happened 3x times in the past 24 hours. There are a cluster of homes here that have no power. And we keep going to the bottom of the list every time! What are you doing?

@JCP_L We have been without power since 7/3 and we also lost it for several hours on 7/2 in historic heat. It’s completely unimaginable that it 2026 NJ, we would be without power for 7 days. We have well and septic and pay some of the highest taxes and utility bills in the country.

As local lines are put back in service, damage to individual customer service lines may become known. If your neighbors have power and you don't, the issue may be isolated to your individual service. Please report your outage at spr.ly/report or text OUT to 544487.

If you haven't already, please immediately call 888-544-4877 or 9-1-1 to report downed wires. Treat all downed wires as live and dangerous and stay at least 30 feet away until a trouble crew has investigated the issue. Stay safe and thank you for your patience.

@JCP_L I live on a street that has a large tree down on wires which is brushing up against someone’s house. I guess we can wait as we aren’t important or big enough.

As last night's storms caused more localized damage, crews continue working to restore power and have already restored service to 280,000+ of the 325,000 total customers affected. Over 2,500 personnel are working on restoration, with more arriving soon as the heat dome eases.

JCP&L is awful. They have repeatedly lied to me on the phone, via text and email that our power would be restored tonight by 11:30 pm. It is now 8:30 pm and there has been no sign of a restoration crew. Bald face liars. @JCP_L

🚧 For your safety and the safety of our crews, please do not approach our workers and stay clear of work zones. Do not drive around road closures and proceed slowly around crews working along the road. Treat all intersections without working streetlights as four-way stops.
