I'm really happy Embiid gets to have this moment. He's been an absolute monster when healthy this year. Best player on the floor in this series. For Boston — even with Tatum, the big situation and tendency to settle were both bigger issues than I expected. Too many lulls.

@JCQhoops @Carsobi Maxxey had to be the steady presence though. He's the heir to the org. Embid makes this team a potential finals appearance and is more consistent. His body just breaks down (especially this game) so yes maxxey has to take over. But he's also a ascending player

Ofc Embiid changed the series, but Maxey was that steady presence and even won them game 2. I dnt think Embiid win one game w/o Maxey tbh

@JCQhoops @Carsobi Both help each other out. Theyre a great fit. But Embids ability to put stress on a defense and get the centers into foul trouble (which was critical to winning this game) and just how lethal he was from midrange/rebounding made it easy for maxxey to take over
