Due to the winter storm, all Johnston schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 9. There will be no Developmental Kindergarten or preschool. KTC child care will be closed. Community Education activities are canceled. The Activities/Athletic Director will communicate the status of games and practices.

It's that time of year for the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP)! Testing will begin Monday and continue for the next three weeks, April 3-21. Each building will send out individual building schedules for testing. Practice tests at iowa.pearsonaccess.com/test-prep/

Due to an anticipated winter storm, JHS basketball games on Thurs Dec. 22 are canceled. Varsity games are moved to 5 & 6:30 pm Wed Dec. 21. At this time, school is still scheduled to be in session through Friday. Families are encouraged to take necessary precautions to stay safe

Congrats to six Johnston students accepted into the 2022 Iowa All-State Band! They are freshmen Anna Lu and Chloe Liang, juniors Margi Skinner (2nd alternate) and Peyton Brown, and seniors Eric Qi and Anita Dinakar. They’ll perform 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
