You speak of freedom, our culture and values, but it seems you know little of them.
Everybody should have the right to gather and pray, peacefully, and that includes Muslims.
If you would rather that freedom be taken away, then you disregard our culture and our values.

What we witnessed in London at the historic Trafalgar Square, in a country built on Judeo-Christian values, was a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture. We are not going to surrender everything that was built over centuries and defended at great cost in two world wars for us to be a free, independent nation. @ItsJamesPowers I don't see much of it, purely because of the algorithm, but it's absolutely abhorrent all the same. We all need to call out that behaviour where we see it, I don't think any of us want to live in a country where people of any faith are ostracised.

@ItsJamesPowers I don't know many people on the left nor Muslims who do have a problem when Jews do it, but I'd apply the same standard regardless of religion. We all bleed the same!

Nick wasn’t criticising Islam he was arguing for Muslims to be excluded from the right to freedom of speech , expression and religion that every other community in our country enjoys
He was targeting people not a religion
And the PM rightly felt that was unacceptable and sackable - I agree.

Muslims holding a one-off public prayer does not threaten anyone’s way of life.
Stoking outrage over it fuels racism and Islamophobia, increasing the risk of hostility, abuse and violence against Muslim communities.
That kind of rhetoric is irresponsible for a sitting MP.

People like you have spread fear and animosity about Muslims for decades, to divide and conquer.
Muslims who I have met are some of the kindest, outgoing and accepting people.
We don't judge one another for who we are, we talk to each other as people. That's what matters.

Despite the noise on social media, where outrage is rewarded and antisocial behaviour thrives, most people in this country are decent and kind.
They accept others, faith or none, and can have a cuppa and cake with them.
You don't speak for most of us, and I hope you never will.
