Last year was a very strange year for UK Battle Rap as a whole. I’m well aware that the competitiveness wasn’t as strong as it potentially could be - but I always made sure I turned up and showed out as best as I could with the opportunities that were presented to me. What it’s all about. The leagues, the media, the promoters, the battlers, the big events, the small events. None of it happens without support. You can’t expect and demand fan support, you have to earn that trust by delivering on every promise you make. But more importantly owning it when you do mess up and break that trust. No platform is owed ANYTHING, no promoter is owed Fan Interest and no battler is owed respect - earn it. We’re about to enter our 9th year in less than 8 weeks. Every year, we’ve been told ‘it’s dying’ or this new pop-up league is the ‘next one’. Work hard, execute the plan and love what you do and you’ll earn it. this shit ain’t an overnight success or an instant money earner, you have more mud to drag yourself through than you do champagne to drink. We ain’t going nowhere. 8 Years done 🍾
