Day 2 of Math Academy was great! Really stretched our thinking and took risks. It’s easy to get stuck using standard algorithm but it was fun to think differently and explore options-even when initially uncomfortable. 56/4 40/4=10 16/4=4 10+4=14 56/4 20/4=5 36/4=9 5+9=14

Today students worked through benchmark review questions and an elapsed time digital escape room. Questions were challenging and required adding and subtracting time. Students used a variety of strategies and were so excited to work through the 5 levels. #AVCato #BetterTogether
