A mother of a sports champion killed in the recent uprising stood at the grave of another grieving mother and held her hands, saying: “Your child is not alone.”
Immediately, other mothers began shouting their children’s names, names the Islamic Republic wants erased.
This is #Iran today; mothers have turned mourning into protest.
Cemeteries into places of unity.
Please don’t stop talking about Iran. Be our voice.

It's my daughter's birthday today. Her wish is to have a watch, new clothes and above it all she wishes all GIRLS to be happy and free to talk about PERIODS openly ❤️
Mehdi Yarrahi, the Iranian singer, was flogged by the Islamic Republic, for singing a song called Take Off Your Scarf. But let me tell you what this regime never understands:
For every lash they strike, more women will take off their scarves. More voices will rise. And nothing will stop this revolution.
To the West: Negotiating human rights with barbarians won’t save you. This regime is a virus, it will spread if you let it.
Two little Afghan girls held signs at the Afghanistan cricket match, calling for their schools to reopen. Afghanistan’s cricket stars should have stood with them, amplified their voices, and supported their plea but they won’t risk upsetting the Taliban.
This morning - as England play cricket against the Taliban cricket team - please use the hashtag #DearWomenOfAfghanistan to write a message of support to women trapped under the Taliban regime. They might hear about it - they might know the world isn’t looking the other way at their suffering.

I loved this book. I loved the writing style. It was creepy in places, I was right there when Michael looked out the window and saw the tramp. It is a tale of wealth, ambition, lust but also redemption. All in all, a brilliant read 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
